David L. Spear, President of MarkleInsurance, has been in the insurance business since 1997. David began his insurance career in Bluffton, Indiana, by opening his own office as an agent for a Midwest-based insurance company. In 2000, David became the Managing Agent for MarkleInsurance, then owned by MarkleBank.  David recently purchased the agency from MarkleBank, however, MarkleInsurance and MarkleBank continue to enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship.

David received an Associates Degree from Danville Area Community College and later attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. David was raised in west central Indiana, where he worked as a police officer for nine years. David moved to Wells County in 1996, and now resides in Northern Wells County with his wife, Donna, and their three children. Outside of the office, David enjoys hunting, fishing and working outdoors and is a member of the Zanesville United Methodist Church. David serves as a member of the Administrative Council at ZUM.

Donna M. Spear, Chief Operations Officer, joined MarkleInsurance in April of 2007 upon leaving a career in the legal profession spanning more than 15 years. Donna oversees the day to day operations and marketing of MarkleInsurance, which allows her husband David more time to devote to sales. Donna received her Indiana Producer's License in July of 2007.

Donna is a 1988 graduate of Purdue University and a 1991 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law. Donna has worked for the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission, and for the Porter County and Wells County, Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys. In addition to government service, Donna was in private law practice for over 10 years and served as the President of Wells County Land Title, Inc.

Donna moved to Wells County in 1996 along with her husband, David. David and Donna now reside in northern Wells County along with their three children. Donna also serves as the Northern Wells Community Schools Board of Trustees. Donna and her family are members of the Zanesville United Methodist Church, where Donna serves on the Staff-Parish Relations Committee.

Cheryl Heral received her insurance license while residing in Fairbanks, Alaska and worked for two years for Rural Alaska Insurance. Upon returning to Markle to care for her parents in 2002, Cheryl joined MarkleInsurance as a CSR/Agent.

Cheryl and her late husband enjoyed living in Alaska for 30 years, and Cheryl's daughter and grandson remain living in Alaska. In September of 2007, Cheryl decided it would be best for her family if she worked on a part-time basis, which she currently does while she enjoys more time with her mother and family.

Stacey Oakes joined MarkleInsurance in the Spring of 2007 as an administrative assistant. She was drawn to the sales aspect of insurance and received her Indiana Producer's License in July of 2007.  Stacey now serves as an agent servicing both commercial and personal accounts. Before coming to MarkleInsurance, Stacey worked in the banking industry and as a Longaberger consultant.

Stacey was raised in Bluffton and now enjoys living in northern Wells County with her husband, John, and their three children. Stacey and John are also owners of Tooling Solutions, a tool and die business.

Stacey and her family are members of the Zanesville United Methodist Church, where Stacey serves on the Finance Committee.

Sherry Watt joined MarkleInsurance in September of 2007 as a Customer Service Representative. Sherry has previously worked for MarkleBank, UAW Legal Services, as a travel agent, and office manager/secretary both for a group of pastors and in a family business. Sherry brings with her a wide-range of skills and life experiences to draw upon as she embarks upon a career in the insurance field.

Sherry attended IPFW and studied elementary education.  Sherry and her husband, Tom, live in Zanesville, where Tom serves as a Pastor. Sherry and Tom have two children, Richard and Laura, who both live and work in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sherry and Tom have one dog, Ethel, residing at home with them in Zanesville.
